The Conversations module allows you to manage email communications with your influencers right from the Mavrck platform. Conversations operates like a traditional email client but with some key benefits. Messages sent and received from the platform, whether to an individual influencer or as part of a bulk mailing, can be tied to your campaigns providing better context and the ability to more efficiently manage influencer interactions.
The Conversations module is part of the Notifications section of the product and is broken up into three main components. The actions bar, the conversations list and the messages panel.
The actions bar allows you to switch between folders (Inbox, Sent and Archive), filter conversations by read or unread and search for conversations by email address, name or associated activity title.
Conversations are groups of one or more messages. The conversation list displays all the relevant information about a particular conversation including:
- "Read/Unread" status
- Unread messages have a white background and envelope icon
- Read messages have a grey background and black envelope icon
- "From" address, of the most recent message
- Date, of most recent message
- Subject line
- Message preview
- Number of messages in the conversation
- Attachment indicator
- Delivery status, of the most recent message
Clicking on any conversation card will load the associated messages into the messages panel and mark the conversation as "read". By hovering over the card you also have the ability to reply to the most recent message or archive the conversation. For conversations that have been marked as "read" you can also mark them as "unread".
Each message in a conversation is represented, in chronological order, by a row on the messages panel. The header of this panel displays the subject line, the title of the related activity (if applicable) and a set of available actions which include: Reply, reply all, archive and mark as "unread". Replies will be performed on the most recent message in the conversation.
The message rows can be viewed in either an expanded or collapsed state and display details about the individual message itself including:
- "From/To/Cc" addresses
- Sent/Received date and time
- Delivery status, for sent messages (for more on delivery status click here)
- Full message thread
NOTE: If you receive a message from someone that is a member of your instance (see example above) their profile image will appear next to their name. Clicking on the profile image will open the influencer modal. Additionally, if that conversation is associated with an activity, the modal will automatically load that influencers activity details. Sending and Replying
Whether you are replying to a message or creating a new conversation, the interface is the same. Messages can contain:
- One or more recipients (To and Cc currently supported)
- Subject line
- HTML message body: Bold, italics, underline, ordered and unordered lists and embedded links
- File attachment support (PDF, PNG, GIF, JPG)
Setup and Configuration
The conversations module comes pre-configured with every instance of the Mavrck platform so you don't need to do anything to start managing your influencer communication. All messages are sent and received using a @brandmail.co email address. Typically, this would be the name of your company e.g. email@example.com.
