A new set of incentive options have been added for Create Content campaigns. A marketer will be now be able to add as many incentives as they would like, including the additional support for promotion codes. The introduction of these incentive options provides marketers with a greater level of control for how influencers are compensated when performing the requirements of a create content campaign.
Previously, a marketer was able to add only one incentive that would be made available across all influencers participating in a campaign. Now, a marketer can add any number of incentives with the same level of control over when they are awarded to the influencers as individuals as a whole. Options for awarding incentives remains the same, on confirmation of participation, on campagin completion or manually at the discretion of the marketer.
Adding multiple incentives for a campaign
To add a set of single use (dynamic) promotional codes as an incentive options, you can simply add a series of codes when adding an incentive to a campaign.
These codes will be awarded and delivered to influencers based on the requirements of the campaign. Whether at the beginning, as a means to purchase a product, or at the end as a reward for participation, influencers should be able to use their code to make discounted purchases on your brand's website.
Promotional codes are only available for individuals that have confirmed their participation in the campaign, so you can be assured they will not be allocated and distributed to people that won't create content.
Delivering Promotional Codes
Once a promotional code has been assigned, you will need to notify the influencer so they can use it. To assist with this, we have added a new variable in our notification template system. When setting up a notification that will be sent to influencers, you will see a new "tag" available in the WYSIWYG menu. It will be titled the same as the incentive itself and ensure the correct code is delivered to the influencer.
Adding a personalized promotional code to a notification
The addition of a new promotion code incentive type and the ability to add multiple incentives to a campaign should greatly improve the ability for a marketer to incentivize influencers. There will be more improvements forthcoming to increase the control you have for managing incentives within a campaign.
Promotional Code Usage
Promotional codes can be used in two ways; they can be distributed directly to influencers to be used as a way to discount the amount of a desired purchase, as a reward for posting, or as a way to share a promotion to their audience.
Regardless of the distribution method the influencer will be able to choose whether to use the code themselves or pass on the opportunity to their followers via their bio, etc. The only requirement is that a code would need to be used by more than one person during the checkout process.
