One of the most important parts of work is being able to set goals, monitor your progress towards them, and make adjustments to keep on track. This is especially true with influencer marketing! As such, we’ve created a comprehensive goals module to allow you to set and track your goals for your overall influencer marketing efforts:
How to use
You can view the goals module by going to the dashboard (the "home" button on the left sidebar).
Editing goals is as simple as clicking the edit button in the top right, and changing the goal numbers above the progress bars. You can switch what timeframe you’re viewing and editing by clicking the timeframe headers.
To add a goal for a metric, click the “Add Metric” button on the bottom left and select a metric.
You can set goals for up to three standard timeframes – monthly, quarterly, and yearly (the latter two being the most commonly used). This makes it easier for you to keep track of how they’re doing in the long, mid, and short term, and make adjustments to your influencer marketing strategy accordingly.
You'll notice a lot of green and red throughout the goals module. Green means ahead of pace and red means behind pace. Yellow is used on the timeframe titles and means that not all goals in that timeframe are on pace.
Finally, you can select which goals timeframe is sent to you in your weekly digest email by going to “Configuration” on the left sidebar and then clicking "Notification Preferences".
Progress bar color scheme is
- Red = bad (off-pace)
- Green = good (on-pace)
The current metric value (the number that can be “good” or “bad”), appears red or green, similar to the progress bar
The little circle on each timeframe header indicates whether or not you should be thinking about that timeframe right now
- Red = no goals are on pace
- Yellow = some goals are on pace
- Green = all goals are on pace
There’s a small percent progress indicator at the end of each progress bar. This is useful to see your exact relative progress, but most important when you’ve exceeded your goal – it will indicate how far past your goal you’ve gone (110% = you went 10% past your goal).
When unselected, the timeframe header will show “Monthly”, “Quarterly”, or “Yearly”. When you are viewing a timeframe, it will show a more specific header, such as “September”, “7/01-9/30” (Quarters can vary by company), or “2018”.
When you add a goal, it will appear as a blank progress bar in each timeframe until you add goal numbers. These blank progress bars exist to maintain the visual order of your goals, by making it easier to compare them even if some goals are not set for every timeframe.
Even though the progress bars for a goal will disappear from each timeframe when you remove a goal (by clicking the “X” button on the progress bar in any timeframe), the data will be saved. If you add the goal back, the goal numbers you had previously set will still be there.
You can turn off the today line by clicking the “…” button and toggling the switch there.
