The form builder is used to create applications, surveys, and in review campaigns. These different forms can then be used to gather information from influencers!
Forms can be comprised of X different question types:
- Multiple choice
- Freeform text
- Image upload
All information gathered through forms is stored as an influencer property. Influencer properties are just pieces of data that are associated with an influencer that’s part of your instance. When adding a new question to a form you can either select an existing influencer property to associate with that question or you can create a new one.
When selecting an influencer property, you can search for influencer properties by the name or description of it.
When creating an influencer property, you can define the property title, description, data type, and options (if you choose a multiple choice or checkboxes data type).
The question title will default to the name of the influencer property, but you can change the question title to whatever you want! You can also use the toggle on the question if you want to require that an influencer answer a specific question.
To reorder the questions, just hit the reorder button and drag the questions around!
Click “save order” in the top right to return to editing mode.
Editing a question is as simple as clicking on the question! From there, you can change the associated influencer property, modify the question title, toggle if a question is required, and delete the question.
After an influencer fills out a form and the question answers are stored as influencer properties, you can view the value of each influencer property on the influencer’s page:
When searching through influencers, you can also filter by multiple choice and checkboxes influencer properties:
To edit your library of influencer properties, just click the configuration button on the sidebar and go to “Influencer Properties”. From there, you can edit the influencer property name, description, and the options (if it’s a multiple choice or checkboxes property).
If you edit the options after influencers have already filled out forms with that influencer property, you will not lose any data. The only thing that will change is the options that influencers can select in the future.
Also, note that you can’t edit the data type of the property after you create it, as this would destroy your data!
If an influencer is filling out your form and you already have data for one of the influencer properties associated with a question on the form, then the answer to that question will be pre-populated with the answer you have on record. This could happen if, for example, you add “influencer property A” to “Form 1”, an influencer fills that out, you add “influencer property A” to “Form 2”, and the same influencer fills out that form. This will make it easier for influencers to fill out your forms, which will increase your form completion rate! This also highlights one if the reasons influencer properties are so valuable – you can use the same one on multiple forms to keep you data consistent and can easily have influencer update them.
Finally, it’s worth noting that you can edit the form while it is live! Doing this will not change any previous responses that were recorded, but it will change how future influencers can respond.
