Instagram — Personal Accounts

Connecting your social accounts enables the platform to track your content and metrics automatically.

Social account connections take place via the account connection module, which is included on all campaign application forms and also in the influencer campaign manager (ICM).

Instagram Account Types

Different Instagram account types connect with Mavrck differently. Figure out which connection type is right for you below.


Connect an Instagram Personal account

  1. Open the application form or ICM for the relevant campaign.
  2. In the account connection module, click Connect/Reconnect in the row for Instagram.

  3. Select Personal in the pop-up message.

  4. Enter your log-in information and click Allow in the pop-up.

Which way should I connect my Instagram account?

Business Connection Personal Connection
  • Works for Business or Creator accounts
  • Must be connected to a Facebook Page
  • Instagram Insights available
  • Stories can be tracked automatically
  • Connection expires after 90 days
  • Works for Personal or Creator accounts 
  • Facebook not required 
  • Instagram Insights not available
  • Stories cannot be tracked automatically 
  • Connection does not expire, unless password is changed

 

Additional Details

  • Personal account connections are up for expiration every 90 days, but the platform is able to refresh the connection automatically as long as your password remains the same.
  • If your Personal account connection does expire while you're participating in a campaign, you'll receive an automated reminder email to reconnect.
